Description:
You don’t have to be an expert knitter to make this ridged cable beanie with loads of texture that reminds one of a wiffle ball! Worked in the round on circular needles, pattern includes instructions for 4 weights and results in a one-size-fits-most teen/adult hat. Using only knit, purl, left and right twist stitches, this beanie knits up quickly, especially with bulky and super bulky yarn. It’s a perfect candidate for market prep. Not to mention, it results in a modern, squishy cable hat that will appeal to just about anyone! It also makes the perfect gift for friends and family, but don’t forget to make one for yourself too!

Pattern is written in US terms for worsted, light bulky, bulky/chunky and super bulky weight yarn. It includes instructions for single and folded brim options. Charts, tables and written instructions are also included. As a bonus, beanie looks great with or without a pompom because of the careful detail in the crown, so no pom required!

One size fits most teen-adults. Beanie fits approximately 18-22” head circumference. Pattern is also easily adapted for other sizes because of the simple 6-stitch repeat that is worked throughout body and crown decrease.

Skill level:
Moderate pattern that you make yourself. Suitable for knitters with only a little experience, including knitters new to 1/1 cables. In fact, twist stitches are made without a cable needle. The bulkier the yarn, the less twist stitches in the pattern. Never knit them before? Begin with the super bulky version; you will have them down in no time at all! This pattern results in a beautiful hat with lots of squishy texture and detail thatpacks a stylish punch!
