Wiggle Stitch Rug
by Ann Brown
Sugar’n Cream is soft, yet strong and wearable, with loads of colours to chose from. Thicker, it is perfect for a rug.
As I chose 4 different colours it made sense to keep the stitches simple, too complicated they would be lost and confuse the eye. With so much colour going on. I used treble crochet in bands of 3 split for each colour with some colours repeating. Then I split these bands with a row of 1 chain spaces.
Wiggle stitches are made by crocheting on top of a crochet mesh of 1 chain spaces and trebles and the pattern uses this in the 1 chain space rows.
