Wild Card is a light garter stitch shawl worked in three colours. It’s knit with a lace weight yarn held double or a light fingering weight yarn held single. Wild Card is a triangular shawl worked top-down with fun colour-blocked sections in the middle. This could also be a fun scrap yarn project, if you work every section in different colour!

Size:
One size, large.
Wingspan: 73 ” / 185 cm, depth in the middle: 33.5 ” / 85 cm.

Yarn:
Aurinkokehrä Lace (100 % Finnish wool, 600 m / 50 g) held double. You can also use a light fingering weight yarn held single. Shown in colours Munakoiso (C1), Valkea (C2) and Metsä (C3).

2 skeins of C1, 1 skein of both C2 and C3.

Yardage:
C1: 1310 yards / 1200 meters of laceweight held double, 655 yards / 600 meters of light fingering held single.
C2: 395 yards / 360 meters of laceweight held double, 200 yards / 180 meters of light fingering held single.
C3: 350 yards / 320 meters of laceweight held double, 175 yards / 160 meters of light fingering held single.

Needle:
3,25 mm (US 3) - 40”/100 cm circular needle. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the right gauge.

Gauge:
22 sts x 50 rows = 4 x 4” / 10 x 10 cm
in garter stitch worked flat (after blocking).
