Wild Christmas Hat
If you are feeling festive and you have a stash of tiny yarn skeins then these Wild Christmas Hat ornaments are the perfect little project.
Each hat uses around 10g (0.35oz) of DK weight yarn (or Fingering weight yarn held double) and takes about 45 minutes to knit. You will work a Stockinette stitch brim and then knit the crown in Half Fisherman’s rib. After blocking, the brim is folded double and sewn together for a warm winter hat look. If you fancy, you can personalise the ornament by embroidering someone’s name on the brim before folding it. Best of all though, the entire hat is worked flat. So, no fiddling with four or five double pointed needles.
Now heat up the mulled wine, put on your favourite festive film and get cosy knitting up your own Wild Christmas Hat.
