Wild Dandelion
I figured I’d start off the season with a quick, immensely satisfying hat - before jumping into sweaters.
The generous yardage in each skein of Barrett Wool’s Home yarn meant that I could finally indulge my desire to combine gorgeous cables and a deep brim in a hat design without needing an extra skein!
I love these squishy, round, and bold cables - and I’m obsessed by the dense crosses that separate each round section. To really give them some presence, I worked them in offset columns, and then ended the last repeat in shaping that gives the crown some extra squish up top. Plus that deep brim means your ears are covered and gives the hat the exact look I was going for.
If you have a skein of Barrett’s Home or Wisconsin Woolen Spun Worsted, this design would be gorgeous in either one, and both have enough yardage in just one skein!
susanbanderson over a Barrett has put together some gorgeous kits!!
