I designed this for the May 2021 Sock Knitters Anonymous Elemental Challenge. The pattern is based “Random Tris” from Norah Gaughan’s Twisted Stitch Sourcebook. The triangles are the symbol for the element “Fire”

This cuff down sock with Eye of Partridge heel flap, v heel and standard toe is suitable for any heavy sock yarn. The 30 stitch / 60 row repeat charted design is on the front and back of the leg, continuing into the foot . While designed for 5 double pointed needles, it could be adapted for magic loop, 2 circulars or any other small circumference method. The pattern is written with a leg circumference of 60 stitches, hence the need for larger needles. The foot length can be adjusted as needed.

Sample used 110 grams/ 325 yards of Knitting Fever Indulgence 6-Ply (75% Merino, 25% Nylon 426 yards / 150 grams DK weight) knitted on US 2 needles.
