This pattern is for a mosaic crochet square that can be used in other types of projects, such as blankets, pillows, satchel bags, table mats, etc.

Any yarn or hook will work, depending on the desired size of the finished square. I used yarn weight of 4 with a 5.5 hook, which creates a square of 13.5” x 13”.

To do the same colors as the sample image, (these are med wt yarn) you will need approx 2 oz of gold yarn, 1.5 of cream yarn, and less that .5 oz of black, pink & taupe (eye color). The total project weighs just under 4 oz.
