Description:

• This darling design was a result of wanting more hearts than the average fair isle beanie, and the added ability to have more flexibility in sizing. Since this pattern works in multiples of 3, it’s easy to adjust sizes for baby through adult!
• I’ve included TWO different versions of this pattern. This is the easy version, geared towards beginner knitters - it’s a very simple repeat of 6 rows, but the jog of the hearts don’t perfectly line up - but it’s dang close. The second version is a tad more difficult to track, but results in a perfect spiral of the hearts. So, if you’re a perfectionist like me, Pattern Two might be for you!


• This is a slightly longer beanie, with a little height at the top (not flush against the crown of your head) but fits comfortably snug around the head. If you’d like to make it more fitted, simply knit less rows. It’s also adorable topped with a pom, either yarn or faux fur. Have fun with this knit, and I can’t wait to see what color combos you make!

Size:

• Finished beanie fits an average adult woman’s head, 21-22 in / 53 - 56 cm
• 9 in wide x 10 in tall / 23 cm wide x 25.4 cm tall
• Measurements taken from item laid flat and unstretched, after steam blocking.

Materials:

• 2 contrasting colored skeins of super bulky / size 6 yarn
• Recommended: Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick
• Main Color: 45 yards to 55 yards / 72 grams to 88 grams
• Contrasting Color: 12 yards to 15 yards / 19 grams to 24 grams
• US 13 / 9.0 mm circular needles OR needles to obtain gauge. If your swatch is too small, bump up your needle size. If it’s too large, size down needles
• Designer’s Sample used Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick in the color Iris and Fisherman
