This is a very special coin purse, based on Irish crochet lace techniques and featuring the Wild Irish Rose as the central motif.

The petals expand as you fill the purse creating a deceptively roomy purse, which is 4.5, 5.5 or 6.5-inch diameter at rest.

The pattern uses American terminology, photographic aids and a chart. It is optional to line the purse.

The purse is made using lace weight/ no. 10 count crochet cotton. I used “Essentials Crochet”, vanilla by Rico Design. I used 0.53oz/15g- .75oz/21g of cotton, in length it was 92yrds/84meters/ - 130yrds/118meters.
