Wild Orchis Shawl
INTRODUCTION: In celebration of Periwinkle Sheep Yarn’s 20th anniversary, I designed the Wild Orchis Shawl! I was first inspired by the colors I picked out of Periwinkle Sheep’s Merino DK yarn. I thought about what could incorporate all these beautiful colors in a fun and unique look. It turns out the “wild” in Wild Orchis Shawl is represented by all the changes in textures and color striping in each section to create an interesting knitting experience while in a simple, asymmetrical shape.
