A glorious doily using both color and texture. The petals of the roses ruffle out of the doily. The borders are joined into the pattern behind the flowers and leaves to lift them out of the work.

This doily uses a different technique to achieve this effect: by working into the back or front threads of the stitches rather than the top as usual.
