This is a top-down sunhat for baby-adult sizes. It features a stitch that I invented myself, the wild strawberry stitch. The hat is best worked in cotton or linen yarn for a cool summer hat. There is so much scope for being creative with the colours on this hat!

Sizes available:
6-12m/1-2y/2-4y/5-9y/10-14y (adult)
To fit head size:
42-44/45-47/48-50/51-53/54-56(57-59) cm

Yarn weight: aran/worsted/10ply.
Suggested yarn:
Main colour: Drops Paris #17 off-white 50/100/100/100/100(100)g.
Contrast colour: #33 pink 50g.
Small amounts of #12 red and #43 forest green.
Also needed:
Tapestry needle, embroidery scissors for sewing in ends.
Yardage:
Main colour = 85/90/100/112/125(130) m or 94/99/110/122/138(143) yards.
Contrast colour = 24/27/30/32/33(34) m or 26/30/33/35/36(37) yards.
Also needed: approx. 10m of red yarn and 5m of green yarn.

Suggested hook size: 5mm for crown; 4mm for brim
Gauge for crown: 16 sts x 8 rounds worked in trebles = 10 x 10 cm
Gauge for brim: 18 sts x 12 rounds worked in half-trebles
Use whichever hook size meets the gauge.
