This coaster is worked seamlessly in the round, starting from the outer cast on edge decreasing to the center. The decreases are carefully placed to produce the strawberry shape. The leaves/stem piece is worked separately and attached. The seeds are sewn on using basic embroidery. This is a great project to use up your cotton scraps.
Combined with my kiwi coaster (Fesh Picked Fruit Coasters) you can make a fun set. This makes a great gift!
Knitting in the summer heat can be uncomfortable when your project is meant to be used in winter. This is designed to be a quick summer project that can easily be completed on a warm evening.
Skills Necessary: Working in the round, k2tog, p2tog, k1f&b, knitted or cable cast on, basic embroidery
Photo or video tutorials are included for all of these techniques
