Wilder
I love using the wild colors of a variegated yarn, but they can often drown out any stitch patterning. The linen stitch used in this cowl is a great way to accent those yarns beautifully. It blends pooling, and melds the colors in such a wonderful way. The cables in this cowl adds
some stretch to what is normally a very dense (yet warm) stitch. It almost looks like we have paired a woven and knit fabric!
This should fit most people, and has quite a bit of stretch to it. Despite the fact that it looks to fit quite closely in the photos, it is quite roomy on the model (me).
Skills Used
- Slip stitch pattern
- Cables
- Crochet chain
- Bind-off in pattern
Note on materials: Crochet hook is for making button loop, and can be any hook you feel is appropriate for a worsted weight yarn. Also, stitch markers are optional for those that find them useful.
