Wildeve Shawl
This pattern is definitely not TV knitting, you will need to concentrate and keep track of the numbers/ pattern repeats but it is sectioned in such a way that its breaks up the more complicated sections with some more simple lace, or short sections of stocking stitch to give you a bit of a rest/ breathing space. Whilst my previous lace design was intended to be an introduction to lace knitting to ease people in gently, I wanted this design to be a next step or one that people could knit and feel like they had progressed as a lace knitter so I have increased the overall size of the shawl, worked in a lace weight yarn rather than a fingering and included an applied lace border.
For my sample I used just under 800m of yarn but some of my testers reported using just over 900m so I have put quite a wide range for the suggested yardage to account for this which will also work to your advantage if you are not a fan of knitting a swatch before starting a project.
