Wildflower & Moss Flax
Wildflower & Moss Sweater in Flax, is a thick cozy sweater inspired by traditional Icelandic patterns, knitted in a sensitive combination of natural colours.
The main body is knitted on 6mm circular needles, 14 stitches to 10 cm, starting from the bottom with a ribbed band. The body and sleeves are knitted separately to the underarms and then all altogether, the yoke knitted in one, joining all pieces. The original colour work design and moss stitch decorate the yoke. Three colour charts and row by row instructions for the yoke.
The original sweater was knitted in naturally dyed merino wool by Timber and Twine. I have also suggested some wool from Nundle and Bendigo Woollen Mills.
Between 850grams and 1200grams of wool on 6mm is a quick fun knit.
This sweater is the same shape as the original Wildflower & Moss Sweater. There are more details in this pattern, and colour work charts may be interchanged.
