This is a moth pattern that uses scraps of yarn to create a field of color in a moth. You can use yarn ties, project leftovers, etc! Starting with the head, you knit to the tip of the tail, and then you knit the front and back of each wing, and seam it all together.

✩Needles: any size US1.5 needles (circular, dpns, or straights)

✩ Yarn: Colorful and multi-texture scraps! It is helpful to have a range of value and colors so that your moth will have beautiful contrast in the colorwork. Yarn is held double throughout project. You will need roughly 12-16 grams of lace/fingering weight yarn, or about 50-75 yards.

✩ Other tools: tapestry needle, stuffing of your choice (sample uses a bit of dried lavender and stuffing pellets), needle and thread

Pattern includes a color-by number sheet to help organize your colors and pick a palette prior to knitting, and to help visualize where you are in the project while you are knitting.
