DESCRIPTION
Wildflower Pullover is a drop shoulder sweater featuring an all-over stranded colorwork flower motif. Worked in fingering weight yarn, this sweater is perfect for those days of early spring when wildflowers are beginning to bloom but there is still a chill in the air. Work the stripes of flowers all in one color, in two as I did, or use as many colors as your heart desires (this could be a great project to use scrap yarn!) to make the sweater your own.
This sweater is worked bottom up to establish the colorwork motif before working shaping in pattern in the yoke. The neck hole and armholes are steeked to minimize the amount of colorwork worked flat. Shoulder shaping and back neck drop are included to get an excellent fit. This pattern is size and gender inclusive with eleven sizes and two fit options.
SIZING
Fit I is graded based on a traditional women’s sizing chart and Fit II is graded based on a traditional men’s sizing chart. Both fit types are graded to 11 sizes, designed to fit bodies with bust/chest measurements between 30-66” (75-165 cm).
All sizes include an additional 6-8” (15-20 cm) of ease in the finished garment.
See the Pattern Details PDFs linked above to for a full schematic.
SAMPLE
Photos show Fit I Size B worn with 6.5” / 17 cm of positive ease at the bust on a body with a height of 5’2” / 157 cm.
