“All good things are wild and free.” -- Henry David Thoreau

Nature almost always is the inspiration and starting point for most of my designs. A good deal of my heart lies in the woods, among the trees… the wilds things. And ideas, like most good things, they need time to grown. My Wildwood stitch motif featured in this design began as in idea while out on a woodland walk during the past winter. With a little time, and more walks along woodland paths, this now reaches you… and hopefully adds delight to your wild heart.

My Wildwood stitch motif--inspired by textures in nature--creates a column of detail down the front side of each sock. This pattern is ideal for the confident new sock knitter, as well as those with much experience. A solid or tonal/semi-solid color yarn looks very attractive for this design, but also suited for the special gently speckled yarns.
