Willamette Falls Mitts
The pattern was designed for the Fierce Fibers Gradient Kit, but if you do not have the kit and a 100 gram skein of DK yarn, divide in half. Half for the cowl and then divide in half again for two 25 gram balls for each mitt.
The pattern was worked with using 2 circs. You can use Magic Loop or dpns of course!
The mitts have a few options to choose from - more rows for a longer cuff on wrist; adding a few rows to the thumb ribbing. Fewer rows at end of hand ribbing. Different sized hands tried these on and they stretched to fit.
I have a different way of dealing with the thumb. You don’t move the stitches off to waste yarn or holder, but move them onto dpns and work the ribbing before finishing the rest of the mitt. This is to maintain the color flow in the gradient kit. If you are not using a gradient yarn(s), then feel free to move them onto waste yarn, but try out this technique, you might like it.
