I fell in love with this incredible red yarn from Sassy Black Yarns (color Danger). Knew I had to design something with it and as a designer for Outlander fans the term Redcoat came to mind.

This shawl represents Jamie’s son William Ransom, Lord Ellesmere. This Tunisian crochet kite shawl can also be worn as a scarf. Created in Tunisian simple stitch with five skeins of Sassy Black Yarns Sport (100% Peruvian Highland Wool, 100g/328yds/300m), in colors Danger(A), Cloudy Days(B), and Mustard Seed of Faith(C), this shawl incorporates the three-color Tunisian technique to provide gold and grey highlights against the deep red of the British officer uniform.
