This idea came to me while discussing a design with a friend over coffee. I knew I wanted to do a V-neck cardigan, with lace edge and I wanted to refer to the lace pattern on the sleeves. Continuing the pattern up and around the neck was something I’d done before. The idea of incorporating the sleeve lace into the neck was what inspired this pattern.
I like the look of a textured, almost woven effect in knitting and decided to make that the body. With a little decrease at the waist, the Willow Cardigan came together.
