The Willow Pond Planter Basket is the offspring of my popular Willow Pond Rope Basket, except this version is designed to fit, or be easily customized to fit, plant containers that are 6, 8, or 10 inches in diameter! It’s a beginner friendly crochet design with the look and function of a rope basket except, it’s all crochet! It’s quick to work up, practical, and will transform the look an inexpensive or outdated planter! Choose your favorite edging there are 3 options including a raw edge, leather handles, or a crab stitch edging. Make it your own by customizing the colors! You’ll want to make many, because they are amazing handmade gifts and a great way to use up scraps and stash!!

What’s in a name? The Willow Pond Planter Basket gets its namesake from a small spring melt pond framed in pines, wildflowers, and a fabulous view of the San Juan Mountains of SW Colorado - it’s breathtaking! I keep these baskets throughout my home reminding me of this special place. My hope is that they will remind you of your happy place too!
