DESCRIPTION
Willow Pullover is a cozy sweater worked in an allover basketweave stitch pattern. With a relaxed fit and thoughtful finishing, this sweater is a perfect everyday handknit. Named for the willow because of its long tradition of use in basket weaving, this sweater’s simple drop shoulder construction lets the stitch pattern shine. Working the sweater bottom up allows the knitter to get comfortable working in the stitch pattern before working decreases and short rows in pattern for the armhole and neck shaping.
SIZING
This pattern is graded to 12 sizes, (1, 2, 3, 4){5, 6, 7, 8}(9, 10, 11, 12), designed to fit a body with the upper chest measurement and full bust measurement shown in the schematic. All sizes include an additional 8” (20 cm) of ease in the finished garment. See Pattern Details for detailed fit information and a full schematic.
SAMPLE
Photos show a size 2 worn with 7.25” (18.5 cm) of positive ease at the bust and 3.75” (9.5 cm) of positive ease at the upper arm on a body with a height of 5’2” / 157 cm.

YARN
This pattern can be worked in a DK weight yarn (Option 1) or a fingering weight yarn held together with a lace weight yarn (Option 2).
OPTION 1 (DK): Ritual Dyes Marona (DK weight; 100% US Cormo wool; 250 yds / 229 m per 100 g). Sample is shown in Chestnut.
OPTION 2 (FINGERING + LACE): Biches & Bûches Le Petit Lambswool (fingering weight; 100% US Scottish lambswool; 270 yds / 248 m per 50 g) held together with Biches & Bûches Le Petit Mohair & Silk (lace weight; 70% Mohair, 30% silk; 232 yds / 212 m per 25 g). Sample is shown in Grey Beige.
1195-1990 yds (1095-1815 m) are required for this project. See Pattern Details for full yardage requirements.
