This cabled hat design was inspired by all the birch and aspen leaves that were falling and floating around our surrounding woods last fall. It has small cables around the edges to frame the design and simulate the blades of the leaf. Larger cables become the ribs of the leaf.

The hat is knit in the round from bottom-up. The cabled leaf design is charted and has full written instructions for each size.

This pattern would look best in solid or tonal colorways to emphasize the stitch definition.
