The spiral motif of this cowl looks like either a bungled punctuation symbol or like a curled up snake – I can’t decide which. I wanted a large, bold motif that would showcase the colours of this amazing hand-dyed yarn, and I think that this striking pattern really does the trick. Windenne means to spiral or curl in Old English.

Contrast Colour (CC) Estelle Chunky 125m / 100 g (136 yds / 3.5 oz), 1 skein. Colour Q63381 Nickel Heather. Any currently available Chunky (#5) yarn with similar yardage may be substituted.
