Windu the horse
This is a .pdf crochet pattern, written in standard American crochet terms. With this easy pattern, you can make a realistic looking, majestic and cute horse. Use any colour you like to create your own horse!
Size
Size of finished horse made with worsted weight yarn: 6 inch / 15.5 cm when sitting.
Materials
For this crochet horse you’ll need worsted weight yarn and an E US/3.5 mm crochet hook. You’ll need four colours of yarn, brown (hazel or chocolate, 2/3 of a 100 yard skein), barley (1/20), white (a left-over bit) and brown black (black sheep heather, a left over bit). For the eyes I’ve used 8 mm animal eyes. You will also need fibrefill and pellets for a bit of extra weight in the body (I use Hama beads). Lopi colour numbers: 1401 or 0867, 1419, 0051 and 0052.
The crochet pattern contains
An intro with useful info. List of materials, tools and accessories needed. Brand and colour numbers of the needed yarn. A clear and colour coded description of how to crochet and assemble the animal. Pictures and illustrations to help getting everything right. All my patterns are text edited for correct English and have been tested by an experienced crocheter before publishing.
Yarn
Istex Lett lopi & Einband Lopi. I strongly recommend using a fuzzy yarn because it gives the best result.
Gauge is unimportant for this pattern. If the pieces are crocheted tightly enough, they will not gape visibly when stuffed. You can make a little test swap to be sure.
