The Windward Lace Pattern was inspired by the path that sail boats take when they are sailing upwind. Since heading directly into the wind is impossible, sail boats must tack back and forth to get to a destination in the Windward direction. The Windward Lace sweater uses North Light Fibers Seaside Yarn, a blend of superfine merino and cotton. Doubling the yarn, makes for a warm, soft, cozy, chunky sweater that knits up fast.
