~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Walking along the path at dusk on a brisk autumn day, you pull up the collar and wrap yourself up in Windwhistle. The open-front, A-line cardigan has cozy knit/purl texture at the collar, bands, and running along the side “seams” to create a classic sweater for your wardrobe.
The cardigan is knit from the top down, beginning with two halves of the back collar. Collar stitches are put on hold as the back is worked from the collar edge to the armholes, building the shoulders as you go. Collar stitches are placed back on the needles to form the seamlessly worked front bands, and the front is knit from the shoulders down to the armholes. At the underarm, back and fronts are joined and the body continues in one piece to the hem. Sleeves are picked up around the armhole and worked down to the cuff.
The pattern stitch is both written and charted.
