I worked up something similar in a different yarn and kept notes along the way. It’s fun to make, and I think a hand-made wine bottle cover adds a little more joy to gift giving.

Making a swatch for gauge is unnecessary. If the diameter of your completed base (RND 1-3) is about 3.5 inches you’re good to go.
