This pattern is an old favorite at Wool & Honey that we just bring out around the holidays. In 2008, a good friend saw these kitschy wine bottle hats in the Sundance catalog and commissioned me to knit 12 to top a case of wine. A very simple pattern, these make great conversation pieces at holiday parties!

When I’m down to the 11th hour without a personalized gift to give, I turn to these little wine bottle hats. They’re crazy quick to knit, perfect for stashbusting and best of all, they’re hilarious. (Just watch the faces of your recipients--these are guaranteed to generate a few laughs!) Stop by your favorite local wine shop (mine’s Cedar City Market, of course!), pick up a bottle of your favorite local wine (might I suggest 45 North’s Pinot Grigio pictured or L. Mawby’s Cremant Classic?) and you’re set for your next holiday party.
