The pattern uses both crochet and knitting techniques. Two sizes of double pointed needles are used. A round 3” motif base is crocheted, one round of single crochets is added, the crocheted stitches are picked up and knit. The “cuff” is then knit in the round in 2x2 ribbing, using the smaller dpn’s for a “nipped waist.” The cuff is topped off with 2 rounds of stockinette stitching using the larger sized dpn’s.
