This shawl uses 3 coordinating yarns separated by a ribbon/tape type yarn to create the look of wings. You could also use just one or two yarns with a separating contrast and get a similar, but simpler winged effect. Supplies listed are for the samples in the photos.

The pattern for this shawl is written for two sizes. You can make the shawl even larger by adding 32 stitches and two repeats to each section. You will need to adjust yardage accordingly.

Gauge is not especially important except for judging your yardage or if using yarns of a different weight. If you do swatch, it is important to do so using the lace chart and block before measuring.

The shawl is made in two pieces and joined at center back.

You will need a second #7- 32 inch circular needle to complete the 3 needle bind off in the center.
