This is a two-in-one egg dispenser and storage bag for eggs in Elizabeth Hargrave’s acclaimed board game WINGSPAN. It’s meant to hold the eggs and act as a dispenser during gameplay while doubling as a storage bag when you pack the game up. There’s enough space in the box to hold the main game, first expansion and this nest with the eggs inside. As you can tell from the image underneath, the bag also holds the expansion eggs.

Required supplies and tools
I used a half of a skein Scheepjeswol Stonewashed (80% cotton and 20% acrylic), you can use 100% cotton or 100% acrylic. For a firmer nest it’s important that your hook size is smaller (0.5 mm or 1 mm) than the size of the yarn you’ll use. You’ll also need a darning needle and scissors.

As a alternative you can also use duo-tone sockyarn, I used 2 threads.

Yarn size: 3-3,5; 50g
Hook size: 2,5mm (US: C/2)

Getting the exact gauge doesn’t matter as the size of the egg bag can easily be adjusted while making it.
