Wingspread
by Bev Pilarzyk
Half pi shaping and a feather-like lace stitch give this shawlette the appearance of outspread wings on a bird in flight. The pattern is worked from the top down, starting with stockinette stitch and a narrow edging. The wide lace border begins only after all shaping increases have been completed. A crochet loop button hole and button were added to eliminate the need for a knot.
