Smocking yeah!! This yoke design is so fun and addicting that you will not want to put it down until you have finished it. And it is so pretty! I used The Yarn Collective Hudson Worsted for the sample. It is very soft and has great stitch definition making it perfect for Winslow.

Yarn: The Yarn Collective Hudson Worsted; 85% Merino wool, 15% Yak; 197 yds/180 m per 100g skein; Natural 401, 4 (5, 5, 6, 6, 7, 7, 8, 8, 9, 9) skeins; 785 (860, 965, 1025, 1090, 1220, 1315, 1400, 1555, 1615, 1655) yds/720 (785, 880, 940, 995, 1115, 1200, 1280, 1420, 1480, 1510) m
Needles: Size 6/4mm 16”/ 40 cm and 24”/60 cm (or longer) circular needle and set of 4 or 5 double-pointed needles.
Other: Stitch markers (2 colors or types), cable needle, stitch holders or waste yarn, tapestry needle
Gauge: 17 sts and 25 rnds = 4”/10 cm in Stockinette Stitch.

Notes: This sweater has a circular yoke and is constructed
from the top down in one piece. Short-row back neck shaping is worked before the smocked pattern, and raglan shaping is worked after the yoke pattern is complete. The pullover is modeled with slight positive ease, but the design will work well with either positive or negative ease. There is no body shaping past the armholes but waist shaping may be easily added. The sleeves and body can easily be lengthened by adding more rounds.
