Skill Level

Materials
- Medium (worsted) weight bamboo/cotton/elastic nylon-blend yarn (1 3/4 oz/90 yds/50g per ball): 1 ball sable print or color of choice
- Size I/9/5.5mm crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
- Sewing needle
- Matching sewing thread
- 7/8-inch button
- Stitch marker
Gauge
2 pattern rows = 1 1/2 x 18 inches
Cowl can be made with any yarn type or weight (green cowl is in super bulky, gray is in DK). It can be seamed closed for an infinity scarf and can be made any width or length (long for doubling over).
For the entrelac-look version, I used three different colors of worsted, made pattern exactly the same, just changed colors with each new row. Started and ended with black (carried yarn, did not cut and weave in ends with each row), then at end, whip-stitched along short ends with black to neaten edges.
See my project page or look at the various projects for this pattern, for more information.
