Winter Comforts is an overlay mosaic crochet pattern created to give you the warm feelings of winter. Included in the pattern are some different color combination ideas. This pattern has a 40 stitch repeat! Included in the pattern are sizing options for both worsted weight and DK weight yarn, as well as estimated yardage and basic instructions for each.

This is a beginner level pattern and includes a guide on how to do mosaic crochet. It does include a photo tutorial on creating a basic envelope border.

The PDF pattern is written in U.S. terminology and includes the full written pattern in a row-by-row format, as well as the ticked graphs. The written format is in a new, easier to read format! Also included is a printer-friendly PDF that allows you to print only the necessities for the pattern.

I chose to make mine with a 5 mm hook and worsted weight (4 weight) yarn. I chose the twin size.

Yarn specifics: Red Heart Super Saver
Cherry: 1,250 yards
White: 1,700 yards
Black: 1,700 yards

I used a total of approximately 4,700 yards, excluding the border The border used approximately 850 yards (for a total of 5550 yards). The size is approximately 58” wide by 85” tall excluding the border. The estimated yarn usage for each size is listed in the pattern. Please note that different yarns, different tensions, and different hook sizes will all utilize a different amount of yarn.
