Winter Delights

The Winter Delights series was inspired by an early October snow storm that resulted in more than 4 feet of snow in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota.

At first glance the body of the hat appears to be a stranded knitting design, but it is actually worked using only one strand of yarn for each round. The contrast is achieved by alternating the main and a contrasting color for each round.

Adult Sizes: Small, Medium, Large
Fits head size: 19 (21, 23”)

Material:
Yarn: Malabrigo Sock, 3.5oz, 440 yards.
Actual yardage used for size M:
CC – Arbol 35g, 150 yards
MC – Natural 40g, 170 yards

Gauge: 32sts and 44 rows = 4” (10cm) in Eye of Partridge stitch.

Needles: US#4 / 3.50mm DPNs.
US #2 / 2.75mm DPNs and circular needle.

Misc: 7 stitch marker, waste yarn for lifeline, tapestry needle, cable needle.
