Light your own winter fire and counter the cold of winter with the vibrant colours of a self-striping yarn.

Essentially a long, circular piece, gently ruffled along one side with short row shaping, it can be worn in myriad ways: as a long, loose cowl, as a cosy neck warmer when wrapped twice around the neck, as a shrug, and even as a drapey capelet when pulled closer and pinned at one shoulder.

This circular piece is worked flat, then joined in a circle by grafting the ends with Kitchener Stitch. An easy pattern, it can be worked to any length or width you desite simply by working more repeats lengthwise or width-wise.
