You start with an I-Cord to make sure it fits around your head nicely. Then you pick up stitches and continue. The second I-Cord creates a nice cuff. This cuff is lined afterwards for extra warmth.

You can use any (fingering weight) yarn you like. The pattern shows you how to adjust the stitch count.

The hat is a bit slouchy but not too much.
