‘Winter Frost’ blanket pattern. This design got its inspiration from my Nordic homeland Finland. Winter Frost blanket is perfect for those cold and frosty winter months, not just for Christmas so you will get a lot of use out of it. Cold and warm tones together create a peaceful, relaxing, cosy and warm atmosphere, perfect for that Scandinavian look for your living room, snug or bedroom. I have also included ideas for two other colourways: ‘ Mint hot choc’ and more traditional ‘Christmas Red’.
Pattern is written in English (UK Terms) but I have also explained US terms. Step-by-step instructions with lots of pictures will guide you through all the rows and how to make the envelope boarder. I have also included pattern charts for left-handed crochet.
A swatch with 20sts x 20 rows, measures approximately 12 cm x 10 cm (4.7” x 3.9”). The swatch was made using 1 repeat of pattern, plus 2 sts.
Final size of the blanket is approximately 125 cm x 85 cm (49” x 33.5”),
Note that your final size might be slightly different due to your crochet tension or the yarn you are using but also how thick boarder you want your blanket to have.
You can customise the size of your blanket by adding or decreasing repeats of the pattern. Changing the size will affect the amount of yarn is required.
Pattern works in multiples of 18 stitches. (18st x 8 = 144 sts)
