The Winter is Coming shawl is a crochet meditation. It uses a simple but uncommon crochet stitch, the edc (esc), to create a soothing project and a large and super squishy shawl.

The sample has been made using a combo of the new Stylecraft Bellissima and Bambino acrylic yarns, which marry up together beautifully.

It can, however, be made using 5 x 100g balls of any DK weight yarn. You can also customise the shawl by changing the number of stripes, widening the stripes or just doing 5 colour blocks.

The pattern contains a photo tutorial for the edc (esc) and a link to a video tutorial that shows how to make the stitch, how to start the shawl and how to change colour and carry your yarn along the striped sections.

This shawl is my design for the Stylecraft Blog Tour 2018.
