Winter is Coming...
You can use any yarn you wish. I was using up some colors I had on hand already.
It measured about 11.5” x 17”.
Gauge is not critical.
I used a pair of single point size 1 needles.
The back side of the pillow is machine sewed on, using a square of flannel. If you decide to do this, remember that the size of the square needs to be bigger than the actual knit piece, as you’re going to be seaming it and thus stretching the knitted piece. So don’t forget about the stretch factor! I learned that the hard way with the first one I put together (see my “Dark wings, dark words” pillow). Better to cut your material too big than too small. Can always trim off the pieces. :)
The yarns I used were the following:
Elle Pure Gold DK in blue (less than 1 skein)
Elle Pure Gold DK in white (less than 1 skein)
Scrap yarn in black (small amounts)
Scrap yarn in red (small amounts)
