Inspired by the HBO TV series Game of Thrones I created a colourway on my Merino 100% aran yarn base. I called it Winter is coming and knew that I had to design a winter collection using this yarn: a cozy cowl, a pair of fingerless mitts and a hat with a pompom. Winter is coming? I am prepared!

You need only three skeins of the Merino 100% aran base to knit the whole collection. Each of its three pieces (cowl, fingerless mitts & hat) are knit in the round and feature the same lovely pattern, created with stitches that are easy to work.

What you need:

• yarn: 3 skeins of Schibot Garne Merino 100% aran (200m/100g) in the colourway Winter is coming
• needles: 5mm (US 8) --> 1 set DPNs, 40cm and 80cm circular needles
• notions: some stitch markers, scissor, darning needle

Finished sizes:

• cowl: 94cm (37’’) wide and 23cm (9’’) deep
• hat: 48-54cm (19-21’’) head circumference
• fingerless mitts: 23cm (9’’) in total, 20,5cm (8’’) with garter band rolled down

Ich nannte sie Winter is coming und wusste sofort, dass ich damit eine Winterkollektion designen musste: einen kuschligen Cowl, ein Paar fingerlose Handschuhe und eine Mütze mit einem Bommel. Um die komplette Kollektion zu stricken, benötigst du nur drei Stränge der Merino 100% aran Garnbasis. Alle drei Teile der Kollektion (Cowl, Fingerlose & Mütze) werden in der Runde und mit dem gleichen hübschen Muster gestrickt, das aus Maschen besteht, die nicht schwierig zu arbeiten sind.

Was du brauchst:

• Garn: 3 Stränge Schibot Garne Merino 100% aran (200m/100g) in der Färbung Winter is coming
• Nadeln: 5mm (US 8) --> 1 Nadelspiel, 40cm und 80cm Rundstricknadel
• Helferlein: ein paar Maschenmarkierer, Schere und Stopfnadel

Endgrößen:

• Cowl: 94cm (37’’) lang and 23cm (9’’) breit
• Mütze: 48-54cm (19-21’’) Kopfumfang
• Fingerlose Handschuhe: 23cm (9’’) insgesamt, 20,5cm (8’’) wenn man die Krauskante runterrollt
