Winter Jewels Shawl
When I saw this yarn, Kidsilk Haze in lovely deep colours, I thought ‘winter’. But would the yarn be warm enough for winter? The answer is ‘yes’! It is light and soft but very warm when wrapped around your neck and shoulders. Perfect for winter. The dark, jewel like colours add a greater depth, and somehow make it feel warmer. The shawl is worked from the bottom point upwards. The finished size is 180cm (72 in) wide by 90cm (36 in) deep. Whilst designed originally for kidsilk laceweight yarn, it can also be made in 4 ply using a hook size of around 5.50mm
Please note that I do crochet quite loosely in mohair, so it is important to check your gauge/tension and change the hook size to suit.
A huge thank you to laralorelei for testing this pattern and making 2 lovely 4 ply shawls.
