Materials:
For this blanket, the following materials have been used:
• 3 x Lopi Létt Lopi 1402 (109 yards (100 metres) per skein)
• 6 x Lopi Létt Lopi 1403 (109 yards (100 metres) per skein)
• 2 x Lopi Létt Lopi 1700 (109 yards (100 metres) per skein)
• 2 x Ístex Plötulopi 2022 (328 yards (300 metres) per skein)
• 9 x Ístex Plötulopi 1026 (328 yards (300 metres) per skein)
• 4 mm hook

To create this blanket, two types of pure Icelandic wool, Lopi Létt Lopi and Ístex Plötulopi, are used. Ístex Plötulopi, being
unspun, requires careful handling as it can loosen when pulled too hard due to its delicate nature. For this project, a double
strand of Ístex Plötulopi is used. On the other hand, Lopi Létt Lopi, a thicker and sturdier yarn, is used singularly, resulting in
a beautiful end product. However, it’s worth noting that this wool retains the distinct sheepy smell and is less soft compared
to alternatives like acrylic. If you choose to use this yarn, you will create a beautiful, warm blanket made from pure Icelandic
wool. If you prefer not to use this specific wool, feel free to choose another yarn for your project.
