The WINTER Mice have arrived at the TEAROOM…

Scandinavian inspired mice with removable clothes.

Size: Tip of Ear to Heel Edge 21cm (8.3”)

This pattern has been great fun to create but they are decorative items and there is some sewing required.

Worked flat and seamed.

This is a 14 page PDF pattern with lots of photographs, colour charts and tips to help along the way.

Worked on smaller needles than stated on ball band to avoid holes when stuffed but actual tension and details to help if substituting yarns are all included.

Materials
Knitting needles as above plus…
2 Long Pointed Darning Needles approx 8cm (3”)
Blunt Ended Tapestry Needle
Sewing Needle
Plastic/ Glass Headed Pins
Pink Embroidery Thread/Floss to embroider nose (pattern uses Anchor thread: Shade 1021)
Cotton Sewing Thread in red & white or clear (optional)
Soft Tape Measure
Good Quality Washable Polyester Filling (approx 30g for 2 mice)
4mm Black Teddy eyes/ beads

Mice and clothes are created completely on 3mm needles with the additional needle sizes only being used for snowballs/berries and I-Cord scarf (dpns have been used for scarf but you could use straight needles it just takes a little longer)

You can omit the Adriafil Carezza (angora aran) used for heads and use just 3 shades of the same DK weight you choose for your mice if you prefer (or just 2 if you would like a little mouse in only red/white)
Any of the yarns used for bodies in the previous Mice patterns could also be used here.

You will need to have a basic understanding of colourwork although the charts are very clear and if you don’t want to add the snowflakes you could add your own decoration later and just include the borders (maybe a sprinkling of little embroidered stars)

The tunic and pinafore patterns are completely circular so if you minus the edge stitches marked on the chart you may like to try creating them in the round if you are used to converting patterns. Once the 2 colours are in use you can work continuously without adding/fastening off yarns and the floats are short.

The little peach mouse uses only 2 balls of yarn plus oddments of DK for scarf and berries.
