Most beginning loom knitters start off using a 3/4” large gauge loom (like the 41-peg yellow Knifty Knitter round loom) to learn the art of loom knitting. But making a stylish and warm hat on that loom requires the perfect yarn and the perfect pattern.

The Winter Park Beanie is just that hat. It uses Bernat’s Roving yarn, a thick yarn made of an acrylic/wool blend that will keep your head nice and warm. The pattern uses basic stitches (u-knit, purl) in a pattern that creates a tightly knit fabric and will fit snugly on an adult head.

The Winter Park Beanie uses 120 yards of Roving by Bernat (Lazuli colorway was used in the sample) and is knit on the 41-peg Knifty Knitter yellow round loom.

The pattern is suitable for a novice loom knitter.
