Winter Rays Cowl
Yarn:
The sample used a total of 427yds / 390m of DK weight yarn in total.
The sample shown uses 1 x 100g skein and 6 x 20g mini skeins of DK weight yarn from Birdstreet Yarn (75% Superwash Merino, 25% nylon) (246yds/225m per 100g).
The sample used 83g (205yds / 187m) of the main colour Mallow, and 15g (37yds / 34m) of each of the 6 contrast colours: Beeswax, Hunny, Sundae, Piglet, Tart, and Beaujolais.
Recommended Needle Size:
16” 3.75mm (US Size 5) circular needle, or appropriate size to obtain gauge. Another circular needle on a 16” cable or longer will be required for joining the ends of the cowl.
Gauge: 22 sts / 30 rows = 4” (10cm) in stockinette stitch knitted in the round using DK weight yarn.
Finished Measurements: One Size – Circumference (once ends are joined): 24” (61cm), Width (laid flat): 9.5” (24cm)
The finished piece is designed to fit once around the neck, and is fairly close fitting to keep you warm and cosy.
